The Civil Engineering Department is one of the most productive and progressive academic units in the College of Engineering. Our research centers and outstanding faculty and staff have transformed the department to a new level of excellence in research and teaching that directly addresses local and national engineering needs by providing innovative solutions to the most challenging problems facing our nation's infrastructure.
Courses are offered in six broad technical areas: construction engineering and management, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering and mechanics, transportation engineering and water resources engineering.
UTA's College of Engineering provides one of the most comprehensive engineering programs in the nation, with eleven baccalaureate, fourteen master's, and nine doctoral programs. Students from around the world work with award-winning faculty in state-of-the-art facilities, acquiring the knowledge and skills they'll need to create viable solutions to today's most pressing problems.
