| Abstract: | Social Foodies is a mobile application addressing the challenge of finding compatible dining companions in urban areas. The platform connects food enthusiasts within a 5-mile radius for shared dining experiences, fostering community and social engagement. The app utilizes a Tinder-inspired matching model, allowing users to swipe and connect with others who share similar dining preferences and schedules. To enhance user interaction, Social Foodies incorporates a gamified reward system that encourages frequent participation and exploration of local eateries. Key features include detailed profile and preferences management, a smart matching engine powered by machine learning algorithms, and seamless integration with Google Maps for location-based dining suggestions. By bridging the gap between social networking and local dining, Social Foodies not only enhances culinary experiences but also builds meaningful connections within communities, particularly targeting young professionals and food enthusiasts seeking authentic social dining experiences. |
