| Title: | Spatio-temporal pump shaper for all-optical signal processing |
| Abstract: | The student will develop a high-peak power light source at 775 nm that will be used as a pump for various experiments in all-optical signal processing and quantum communications. The source will produce 100-400-ps-long pulses with 10-20 MHz repetition rate and will be based on a combination of a high-extinction-ratio electro-optic intensity modulator and a high-power erbium-doped fiber amplifier. This source will further have an option for sharing its transverse beam profile by a free-space spatial light modulator, enabling research activities on teleportation of quantum images. |
