| Abstract: | This project aims to develop an autonomous system to retrieve electric vehicles (EVs) in hazardous conditions, such as when batteries catch fire. The system includes a flatbed tow truck and a secondary vehicle. The tow truck autonomously drives to the EV's location, while the secondary vehicle deploys to lift and secure the EV onto the flatbed. Using sensors, neural networks, and computer vision, the system navigates, detects, and positions itself without human intervention. This project demonstrates the integration of robotics and automation for enhanced safety in emergency retrieval operations. |
