Title: Web-Based Dashboard for Video Situation Monitoring (VidSiM)
Abstract: We are developing a web-based dashboard for the video situation monitoring project. Briefly, we extract the contents of a video, represent them using one or more models (currently we use extended relational or R++ and graph models), and answer queries that correspond to situations that need to be detected in any video. We have implemented a server (named MavVStream) that can process continuous queries. What is lacking is a GUI using which the user can graphically construct a query, send it to the server, and visualize the results on the dashboard. A Ph.D. student is working on this problem. We have made progress on the GUI with the previous innovations award and would like to continue that further using this award. We have prior experience in developing dashboards as we have developed one for multilayer network analysis lifecycle (named MLN-geeWhiz). This was developed as part of NSF CCRI planning project. This dashboard has been released publicly for a limited audience and we are ready to release the next version. This is available to public at https://itlab.uta.edu/mlndash-live, and we are getting quite a lot of hits. We allow multiple users and support a good part of lifecycle of the analysis of complex data using graphs and multilayer networks. The focus and goal of this project is to develop a similar interactive dashboard for the MavVStream system (VidSiM).
