| Title: | Optimized Safety Rack Storage at ARIAT Distribution Center |
| Abstract: | The team will explore various ways of redesigning the rack configurations while working around given constraints, such as using the current racks, not moving the racks from their current location, and box labels must remain visible from the edge of the rack. Using the continuous improvement ideology, the team will also aim to support the facility's transition from the current process and ensure long-term efficiency. We will utilize industrial engineering concepts, focusing on the DMAIC methodology, to systematically address the issue. Facilities planning, inventory control and automation concepts from UTA courses will be used throughout this process. |
