| Abstract: | Drones and vehicles can pose threats to public spaces. Detection and tracking of these objects has been an active research area for years, but no single approach has established itself as the clear standard. UTARI has developed initial computer vision systems for drone/vehicle detection using day-night infrared cameras and embedded computers, but additional development is needed to increase robustness and speed. This project examines these challenges by exploring hyperparameter tuning (HPT) tools, models and datasets on detection tasks. Experiments document speed of HPT and what performance lift they create. |
