| Title: | Virtualized Network Data Centers: Distributed Memory Infrastructure |
| Abstract: | Revolutionary architecture transforms every home into an always-available micro-server by relocating persistent storage from PCs to intelligent routers. Each home router contains high-capacity SSDs accessed via PCIe fabric connections, ensuring storage pools remain online 24/7 regardless of computer power states. Home computers connect to their local router through PCIe fabric links, accessing router-resident storage as if it were local drives. Built-in router cache dramatically accelerates repeated queries, delivering near-instant responses for frequently accessed data. Fiber optic connections between homes create neighborhood storage clusters with sub-millisecond access times. This scales hierarchically: neighborhoods aggregate at ISP fiber nodes, regions interconnect through backbone infrastructure, creating global storage pools hosted entirely in residential locations. The PCIe-to-router design provides persistent data availability—critical files remain accessible even when home computers sleep or update. Applications transparently utilize distributed storage across the neighborhood fabric, with intelligent caching and automatic failover between homes ensuring continuous service. Key Advantages: Always-on persistent storage (router-based SSDs) Intelligent caching for near-instant repeated access Sub-microsecond neighborhood access via PCIe fabric Fiber-speed inter-home connectivity Eliminates data center dependency True data sovereignty (storage stays in homes) This creates the world's first community-owned, persistent storage cloud. |
