Students in computing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex are invited to apply for the three-day experience (February 14-16, 2025) of OurCS@DFW workshops. They will have the opportunity to collaborate with other students on projects led by researchers and get assistance from graduate students. In addition to the workshops, OurCS@DFW also features activities such as a keynote speech, panels, mentoring and advising about graduate studies and career pathways, community building, and social activities. Following OurCS@DFW, each of the workshop teams will present their projects at SCRF, UTA's Student Computing Research Festival, on February 17, 2025. Each team will need at least one student to present their project. This will be coordinated by the team's faculty supervisor during OurCS@DFW. Awards will be given to the teams with the best performance.
OurCS@DFW also features a pre-event tutorials: Introduction to Python on February 8, 2025.
While the workshops are for undergraduate and high-school students, the tutorials are open to students at all levels.
