Fellowship Winner

Omar Abdullah, a mechanical engineering student in the fast-track master's program, is the college's latest recipient of the Kelcy Warren Graduate Fellowship from the Texas Business Hall of Fame.

The fellowship includes a $15,000 scholarship and access to high-level business mentors to help recipients make their entrepreneurial ideas come to life.

"I'm exploring how to create affordable housing through 3D printing," Abdullah says. "The timeline for commercialization is three to four years out, so it's important to find the right strategy to move forward. I've been connected with two real estate developers who can share what they've done and how it's been helpful." ₪
