George Named Assistant Dean

Myrshem George became the College of Engineering's first assistant dean for development in July. He has more than 24 years' experience as an operational, administrative, and fundraising executive.

Prior to joining UTA, George was the chief executive officer at Equest. Under his leadership, the organization raised over $800,000 in just six months.

Before that, he was the chief advancement officer and, later, chief operating officer at Austin Street Center. He also worked at the University of North Texas, Collin College, and several other organizations and universities.

"We are delighted to add Myrshem to our staff," says engineering Dean Peter Crouch. "His extensive fundraising experience in the higher education and nonprofit space will be invaluable in our efforts to expand support for our students and the college." ₪
