New Center Supports Student Job-seekers
To better provide support and resources for students seeking their first job after graduation, the college has created the Kelcy Warren Career Experience Center in Nedderman Hall. The new office has space to host both workshops and employer interviews.
The center works with students to prepare them for employment opportunities following graduation and offers initiatives that cater to their long-term career success.
“Engineering is such a niche occupation—in terms of what employers are looking for in new hires—that it’s important to ensure that our students are well-equipped when they graduate,” says Amanda Burkink, a career development specialist. “We want to instill career-readiness as early as possible so students feel confident, ready, and prepared to have professional interactions after they graduate.” ₪
