Distinguished Service Recognized
Professor's Leadership and Service Made a Lasting Impact
Jamie Rogers, a recently retired professor in the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering, received the 2025 Linton E. Grinter Distinguished Service Award from ABET.
Dr. Rogers was recognized for her leadership on governance; her investment in ABET's Baltimore, Maryland, headquarters and accreditation systems; and her embrace of the organization's “Be Confident” rebranding.
“I have been very fortunate to have the support of UTA that has allowed me to be part of ABET. Over the years, the 2,200-plus volunteer experts representing the 34 member societies of ABET have enjoyed many challenges and achieved so much together through teamwork. Together, we aim to contribute to a world that is safer, more efficient, and more sustainable,” Rogers says. ₪
