Innovation Day Goes Virtual
Though the COVID-19 pandemic pushed this year’s Innovation Day online, it didn’t put a damper on the event, held annually by the College of Engineering since 2018. This year’s event featured 125 projects emanating from graduate research, undergraduate research, and senior design, despite many students having to finish them remotely using virtual meeting software.
Because the event was online, the judges—many of them alumni—participated from as far away as Pennsylvania, California, Washington, Florida, Washington, D.C., and Mumbai.
Sponsors included Raytheon Technologies, Bell, BNSF, Chroma, FormFactor, Mouser Electronics/Analog Devices, Oncor, AYCO Charitable Trust on behalf of Janet and Mike Greene, Jacobs, LUNA, Tarrant Regional Water District, the Rios Group, and State Farm.
