Optimizing Experiences

Though wireless carriers and internet providers try to meet those expectations, they are limited by technology and networks. Ming Li hopes to change that. The assistant professor of computer science was awarded a five-year, $502,170 National Science Foundation Early Career Development Program grant to create a framework for companies to incorporate qualitative data obtained through context-aware sensing that will take into account factors such as a user’s location, applications being used, and their emotional state to make adjustments that will optimize the user experience.
