Componation New Associate Dean
Paul Componation, chair of the Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering Department in the college since 2014, was named associate dean for graduate and interdisciplinary affairs for the College of Engineering in January 2023.
Dr. Componation led the creation of the new resource and energy engineering undergraduate degree program and was instrumental in launching two master's programs at the UTA Fort Worth campus.
"I'm happy to welcome Paul to the college's Dean's Office administrative team," says Peter Crouch, dean of engineering. "His experience and systems approach will pay dividends as we continue to grow all dimensions of the college."
Prior to joining UTA, Componation was a professor and director of graduate education at Iowa State University. Before that, he was a professor at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He also has worked as a resident researcher in systems engineering for the Marshall Space Flight Center and as an engineering officer for the U.S. Air Force. He received his bachelor's and doctoral degrees from West Virginia University. ₪
