New Path to Medical School
Beginning in fall 2023, qualified first-time freshman bioengineering majors may consider a bachelor of science-to-doctor of osteopathic medicine pathway, thanks to a new collaboration between UTA and the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
"This is a very attractive option that provides a direct pathway from engineering to practicing medicine," says Michael Cho, chair of UTA's Bioengineering Department. "Because students are determined early on to pursue medicine, they are more likely to efficiently achieve their goal faster through this program." ₪
