UTA is part of a 30-member network of universities and other organizations that received a $1 million award from the National Science Foundation's Regional Innovation Engines program to create economic, societal, and technological opportunities for the Texoma region, which includes 26 counties between the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma.

"We will focus on innovations in automation, artificial intelligence, and cyber-technologies to transform logistics into a more efficient, resilient, safe, and agile industry," says Gautam Das, associate dean for research. "We want to work to take the region's logistics system to its seamless, transparent next generation." ₪
