Engineering Fort Worth
Recognizing the rapid growth of Fort Worth and the demand for convenient, streamlined graduate degree programs for working engineers, the College of Engineering has developed two new master's programs for the UTA Fort Worth campus.
The degrees—a Master of Science in engineering management and a Master of Software Engineering—are offered in eight-week sessions that meet twice weekly, once in person and once online. This format allows students the flexibility to work around their career and personal commitments while still completing their degrees in as little as 18 months.
The Master of Science in engineering management introduces both engineering and business tools to engineering professionals who will be moving into leadership positions in product development, strategic planning, or managing technology resources.
The Master of Software Engineering program facilitates students' continued professional and scholarly development. It emphasizes areas such as system design and development, system testing and quality assurance, cloud computing, and software system and project management.
"There are hundreds of engineers in Fort Worth, many of whom want to continue their education for a variety of reasons," says Paul Componation, associate dean for graduate and interdisciplinary affairs. "Our new programs at the Fort Worth campus provide quality options for them to earn a degree in a time frame that is in line with the needs of working professionals." ₪
